The WAGOP Platform is divided into 18 sections. The document describes foundational conservative values, including:
What are we really paying for?
"Officials have said it's the largest shortfall in state history."
Why Vote the Slate?
In April 2024 delegates from across Washington State arrived in Spokane to vote for the GOP Platform and to Endorse Candidates. Much of the delegation was made up of individuals who are tired of business as usual with the Party. Grassroots efforts have created a reformed party, intent on changing from establishment candidates to America First candidates.
It comes as no surprise that media and the typical Uni-party affiliates would seek to destroy this movement. They painted the convention as turbulent, chaotic and controversial. But what actually played out was Americans seeking to make a change in their government.
Absolutely not! Vote the Slate is designed to change Washington representation by voting in candidates who are not establishment Democrats or Republicans. In this state it is nearly impossible to get a third-party candidate into office, so in 2024 we are starting with the candidates who the grassroots overwhelming support. Your party affiliation has no bearing on this effort. This is just a starting point for creating change from the ground up.
Washington State has elected Democrat career politicians for decades, and under their leadership we have seen increasing regulation and taxation with little to no benefit.
They said the quiet part out loud:
In the state Legislature, Democrats are close to a supermajority – two-thirds of seats in both the House and the Senate. Party leaders are quietly confident they can pick up the needed seats this election cycle.
Doing so would allow Democrats to send proposed amendments to the state Constitution to voters – potentially on issues like adding abortion protections or dropping a requirement that school bond ballot measures require 60% approval to pass.
“It’s my job to try,” said House Majority Leader Monica Stonier, D-Vancouver, who leads the campaign operation for her caucus. “We’re going to give it our best shot.”
They want full control to put through any legislation they deem necessary for WA citizens. The emphasis is on CONTROL.
